Houston - Market Square

Houston was founded on August 30, 1836, by the Allen brothers. In 2011, the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance scheduled their monthly walking tours to celebrate the 175 anniversary.

Today's walking tour headed for the former Market Square. Today it is a nice city square with a coffeehouse.

It was an overcast day, therefore I brought along my 50mm f/1.8 lens. As a result I can't show you any wide angle architecture photos. Considering the low light conditions the photos worked out relatively well.

This building along Main Street, has a large deteriorated neon sign dating back to the 50s. However this sign covers an even older architecture. The question is which one to keep.
